The Role
E3 Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Reliability Engineer to join a leading UK food manufacturer with recognisable brands that dominate the market.
Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, the purpose of the Reliability Engineer is to facilitate the achievement of factory KPIs through the application of engineering & maintenance principles.
This role is purely days. Mon – Friday

Responsibilities:

As an experienced Reliability Engineer, PPM management and continuous improvement will be at the forefront of your daily activities You will systematically review performance, identifying and implementing opportunities to improve factory lines and equipment reliability.
You will build and manage your own area of the factory and associated production lines; building in-depth knowledge of your area and the ability to action and rectify with efficiency.

Other day to day duties include:

  • Reactive, preventative and planned maintenance
  • Perform root cause analysis and fault finding
  • Application / adherence of TPM
  • Reliability Projects focussing on top level events that improve asset operations
  • Implementing asset reliability improvements, tracking scorecard benefits
  • Develop, coach, mentor and influence the full engineering team on key improvements and benefits

What will you bring?

  • You must be an excellent fault finder and have strong electrical/mechanical skills with a good working knowledge of the food production industry.
  • You will be expected to accurately record all maintenance work using a computerised maintenance system so strong computer skills are a must.
  • Proven experience of working within a fast-paced food production environment
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent ONC Mechanical/electrical engineering BTEC level 3 in mechanical & Electrical/electronic engineering)
  • Strong knowledge of improvement techniques and approaches that drive reliability and cost
