We are working with an award-winning main contractor who has been in operation for 10 years now. Since then our client has become an established organisation who prides themselves on providing the best service possible to their vast existing client base aswell as new business opportunities across the construction industry.

Due to a number of key wins across the residential/leisure sector, our client is looking to appoint an ambitious, career driven Quantity Surveyor to bolster their experienced commercial team in Leeds.

You will have responsibility for a wide variety of elements of the companies surveying function across our clients developments, to assist in the delivery and cost-effective completion of the companies schemes.

Role requirements:

  • Undertake procurement of the Sub-Contract packages
  • Sub-Contract final account agreement.
  • Assisting the Project Managers with the financial implications of site progress decisions.
  • Preparing tender lists for approval from an approved supply chain.
  • Continuous monitoring of costs and changes against cost plans, reporting these back to the business when required to.
  • Liaising with the development team to ensure design concepts and proposals are developed in line with the approved budgets.
  • Liaising with all members of the project team, including but not limited to construction, development, sales, marketing and finance.
  • Build strong relationships with external, consultants, suppliers and authorities and form strong partnerships.

More about you:

  • You are likely to be qualified to degree level qualified in Quantity Surveying.
  • Understanding of design and construction techniques.
  • A strong understanding of forms of D&B contracts i.e. JCT & NEC.
  • Highly IT literate, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Willing to travel as your time will be split between site & office
