This Project Engineer role is working with a progressive, Chemical Manufacturer based in the Northwest, offering a generous salary up to £50,000! The company is a driving force in creating innovative ways to tackle climate change, and create a more sustainable future!

The Project Engineer will work directly within the digestion plants, playing a critical part in the process design, commissioning, improvement, and implementation of both new and existing developments. Working closely with the wider engineering team, the Project Engineer will demonstrate both your technical engineering ability, alongside your experience in leading projects; from start through to completion.

Roles & Responsibilities of Project Engineer:

  • Conduct process design and detailed engineering tasks, such as design calculations, analysis and equipment sizing and selection.
  • Prepare various engineering deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities for cost and efficiency improvements, develop CAPEX proposals, and oversee planning, design, and execution.
  • Manage various schemes, including procurement, commissioning, start-up, and training.
  • Continuously optimise and enhance current processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all Environment, Health, and Safety requirements and objectives.
  • Be proficient in design and maintenance of equipment and translating process and instrumentation diagrams.

To be successful in the position of Project Engineer, you must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience; alongside either a Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering Degree. COMAH or manufacturing plant experience is desirable.
