Production Planner

Production Planner – Leeds – Salary – 35k – Monday – Thursday 8.30 – 4.30, Friday 8.30 – 4.00 Hours of work.

We have an incredible opportunity for an experienced Production Planner to join a leading manufacturer of hydraulic systems and equipment based in Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a proactive approach who wants to be involved in the day to day running of a busy business.

Duties of the Production Planner:

• Peg work and creating route cards
• Correctly plan work through the existing ERP system
• Work as part of a team and assist on making sure delivery dates to customers are achieved
• Plan resource based on times to ensure overtime is avoided as much as possible and work is evenly distributed throughout the month.
• Manage, maintain and continue development of the MRP system.
• To work proactively and liaise with the sales team, providing updates to ensure customer demands are met
• To monitor and ensure Health & Safety standards are met
• Issue pick list to stores for work to be picked 2-3 weeks in advance.
• Monitor jobs and highlight potential bottlenecks.

Key skills / Essential experience required from the Production Planner:

• Proven planning experience with knowledge of Epicor / Job shop / Javelin software or similar is desirable.
• Experience within a manufacturing or similar environment
• Ability to prioritise workload effectively
• Attention to detail and good communication skills are essential
• Must be open to learn new skills and adapt to the company’s processes, systems and procedures.
