Production Leader to join a fast growing Chemical manufacturing company based in Norwich for a salary of £58,000-£64,000 working Monday to Friday with the company been flexible on shift starts & finish times.
The company is one of the world’s leading chemical manufacturers, supplying intermediaries to some of the largest global manufacturing organisations.

To be successful in this position as a Production Leader it would be essential to have a background working within Chemical, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear or Oil & Gas. Candidates require previous experience working on a COMAH regulated site with strong understanding of health & safety practises and hold a degree in chemical engineering, chemistry and / or management, or equivalent.

Responsibilities of a Production Leader

  • Achieving and maintaining all targets on a daily to yearly basis within the overall site strategy as well as overseeing the junior team as the key Production Leader.
  • Have full responsibilities for short to long term planning in startup, shut downs, PPC & personal objectives.
  • Managing the PPC-dedicated support functions, e.g. the plant engineer, technical specialist and the respective interfaces to other departments to ensure all departments are on the same wave length.
  • Responsible for delivering operational compliance in alignment with QHSE- ensuring that the respective tasks of the Major Accident Prevention Plan are successfully conducted by members of staff in PPC.
  • Managing, monitoring and continuously improving upon manufacturing plant performance key standards including safety & environment, cost & delivery on time, plant reliability, product and effluent quality, raw material and utility consumption, and plant cycle times.
  • As a Production Leader you are a key point of contact for information concerning designated area of responsibility
