Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Production Controller holds a crucial role in overseeing production planning and material control functions. This position acts as a pivotal link between planning activities and their execution for both Original Equipment (OE) and Aftermarket operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and enhance MRP proposals for production orders, utilising a deep understanding of MRP system intricacies, product range, Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, and material master data. Ensure the feasibility of plans while considering their ripple effects across the supply chain for both OE and Aftermarket segments.

Facilitate the process of issuing materials, ensuring proper identification of received raw materials against requirements. Manage the release of essential paperwork for picking and dispatch.

Provide expert guidance on intricate transactions within SAP, lending support to broader supply chain functions, goods receiving, goods inspection, stores, and manufacturing teams.

Efficiently review and authorise production orders, maintaining a timely and effective release process.

Collaborate in Aftermarket Value Stream Mapping (VSM) activities when necessary.

Adjust assembly orders as required to synchronise component supplies, contributing to the overall MRP implementation strategy.

Undertake additional tasks as deemed necessary to meet ongoing business needs.

Key Qualifications:

In-depth proficiency in MRPII and operations planning, particularly within a small batch and high variety manufacturing environment.
SAP Super User with comprehensive knowledge of SAP functionality.
Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel with a strong command of its features.

Communication Skills:

Outstanding communication skills suitable for interaction across all organisational levels. Proficient in persuasion and influence.

Computer literacy encompassing the use of ERP systems and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel).
