This Process Operator role is an excellent opportunity to join a global leading chemical company that specialise in the manufacture of a huge variety of products for oil & gas, chemicals and polymer industries. This is a permanent role located in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, 7am – 3pm Monday to Friday.

The Process Operator will be pivotal to the success of manufacturing / production operations on site, supporting quality, production and Total Productive Maintenance activities. The Process Operator will have an eye for detail and have a passion for problem solving.

Responsibilities of the successful Process Operator:

  • Proactively spot hazards and near misses and report through the internal EHS system. Drive a safety-first culture across the team.
  • Perform basic assembly tasks safely and to correct quality standards i.e. pump fitting.
  • Form boxes, seal packaged boxes and stacked sealed pallets as per instructions or Standard Operating Procedures and whilst adhering to safe manual handling guidelines.
  • Start and stop machinery in a controlled manner and monitor performance of machinery, observing for malfunctions and making machine adjustments following Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Check the quality of materials and finished products.
  • Run and where necessary set up ancillary equipment on the line i.e. Inkjet printer.
  • Other basic and advanced autonomous maintenance activities as required.

The successful Process Operator will ideally have a qualification in a relevant mechanical engineering or production discipline and have related experience in a production / manufacturing environment.
