This position will offer the successful Process Improvement Engineer work within a dynamic multi-million-pound chemical manufacturer. This company promotes both investment into training and long-term career development, regularly promoting internal candidates to senior level positions. This company is investing a huge part of their budget into CI, with this candidate becoming the six sigma Black Belt, Lean and CI Champion on site.

The successful Process Improvement Engineer will be joining a market leading chemical manufacturer operating on an upper-tier COMAH site. This is a leading large-scale chemical company, delivering customers’ needs utilising its broad asset and technology base, underpinned by its quality driven systems.

Responsibilities of the Process Improvement Engineer;

  • Both career and personal development are a pivotal component of this position, allowing individuals to realise their potential, looking at medium-term career paths into more senior level positions with a demonstrated and clear career path.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean and CI Site Champion.
  • Providing ongoing support and expertise to the Plant Managers through positively challenging and improving site problem solving capability.
  • Providing a service focussed on CI and optimisation encompassing CAPEX projects, procurement, construction, and commissioning,
  • Leading teams with focus on CI.

To be successful in this position as Process Improvement Engineer an understanding working within manufacturing is required. Ideally this will be within hazardous manufacturing on a COMAH site – however this experience is not essential. In addition to this ideally candidates will have an MSc or Meng in Chemical Eng with six sigma black belt. It would also be advantageous for this candidate to be Chartered of a Fellow of the I.Chem.E.
