Process Engineer

An industry-leading Petrochemicals Manufacturing company are currently searching for an experienced Process Engineer for an Upper-Tier COMAH Site based in the East Yorkshire Area.

The Process Engineer is responsible for providing knowledgeable technical resource to assist work teams on daily operations issues and support longer term plant performance, defining and using performance measurements in addition to control skills to increase plant asset utilisation and eliminate unplanned events.

Responsibilities of the Process Engineer:

• To facilitate the operation of the plant in a safe and efficient manner to meet targets set by the business.
• Coordinates, coaches and actively promotes the plant safety & quality programs, required to achieve business goals and customer satisfaction
• Provide technical support to the operations team to root cause daily plant issues and upsets
• To understand the MAPP – Major Accident Prevention Policy – POL-HSE-001
• To comply with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and arrangements, and report all accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
• Ensure effective measurement tools are in place and that measurements are collected to track and report performance using performance indicators for yields, raw material conversion, resource utilisation and asset utilisation.
• Works with the supply chain to ensure plant needs are met from raw material planning to logistics.

Role Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Chemical / Process Engineer or similar.
• Extensive relevant experience in COMAH environment.
• Familiar with industrial control and lean manufacturing techniques.
• Knowledge surrounding unit operation (solids handling, distillation, fluid transfer) preferred.
• Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject (Chemical Eng etc.).
