This position will offer the opportunity for the successful Process Development Chemist work within a dynamic multi-million-pound chemical manufacturer. This company promotes both investment into training and long-term career progression, regularly promoting internal candidates to senior level positions. This company is investing a huge part of their budget into Continuous Improvement, with one area of this specifically looking at Engineering Planning and Scheduling.

The successful Process Development Chemist will be joining market leading chemical manufacturer operating on an upper-tier COMAH site. This is a leading large-scale chemical company, delivering customers’ needs utilising its broad asset and technology base, underpinned by its quality driven project management.

Responsibilities of the Process Development Chemist;

  • Engaging in a succession plan, working towards medium term progression within the company.
  • Working within a research team, operating and troubleshooting experimental rigs, involving catalysis.
  • Producing and recording accurate catalytic testing data.
  • Critically assessing, analysing and interpret experimental data, ensuring that the experimentation methodology used in all experiments is robust and will generate meaningful and reliable results.

To be successful in this position as Process Development Chemist an understanding of chemistry is required alongside strong interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates will have a Degree (BSc, MSc, B.Sc or M.Sc) in a Chemistry related field. It would be an advantage for the successful applicant to have previous experience working within a chemical manufacturing environment, but this is not absolutely required.
