Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

This is a permanent opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturer working 4 shifts per week Monday to Thursday with regular overtime available, genuine progression opportunities with structured training and development plans and free onsite parking.

Since their establishment, almost 50 years ago, this business has built an excellent reputation in their field by manufacturing & supplying high quality & luxurious products.

This business is based in Huddersfield and is easily commutable from surrounding towns & cities including Wakefield, Bradford, Leeds, Oldham, Rochdale, Barnsley, Sheffield, Castleford, and Pontefract.

The Multi-Skilled -Maintenance Engineer responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
• Diagnose breakdown problems
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
• Maintain production lines to optimise manufacturing requirements
• Preparation of new machinery installations
• Maintain varying thermoforming machines, conveyors, spray equipment, CNC routers & drills, circular saws, and extraction systems as well as general site maintenance

Skills/Experience of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• Mechanical engineering experience
• Electrical Engineering 17th edition desirable
• Ability to read technical manuals
• Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment

The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will receive:

• Salary: £32,000 plus shift allowance = £34,080
• Hours are: 2.00pm to 12am Monday to Thursday
• Holiday allowance: 28 days per annum
• Statutory pension contribution
• Free on-site parking
• Permanent employment with a long established & growing business
