Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

This Mechanical Maintenance Engineer vacancy offers a salary of circa £36,000, company pension matched to 10% by the end employer, generous holiday allowance and overtime opportunities at x 1.5 and x 2, for those who want it, taking earnings to in excess of £45/50k plus per annum.

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role is based near Ellistown, the hours of work are 4 on 4 off – Days and Nights, from 6am to 6pm, 6pm to 6am (4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off)

Roles and Responsibility of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

• Responsible for plant wide proactive and reactive mechanical maintenance activities to ensure the optimum performance of the factory
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, Inspections, Service and Repairs, hydraulic machinery, bearings, shafts, conveyor-based systems etc
• Carry out Reactive Maintenance Activities as required

To Be Successful as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

• You will need to hold one of the following qualifications to be considered: City and Guilds Level 2, BTEC Level 2, NVQ Level 2, Apprentice trained etc
• Maintenance Engineering experience – Bearings, Shafts, Hydraulics, Conveyors etc
• Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance experience, the ability to fault find and provide solutions to mechanical machinery issues
