Maintenance Engineer

We have an amazing opportunity for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join the maintenance team within a distinguished food manufacturing company working permanent nights. On top of the basic salary of between £42,000 – £52,000, you will be entitled to premium benefits such as life insurance of 2 x salary, 33 days holiday and overtime paid time and a half. You will also gain exclusive training and have the opportunity to develop your skills and progress through the business.

You will be working at their state-of-the-art facility in Malton, North Yorkshire, one of their many sites across the UK. Our client is a well-established food manufacturer, who started the business over 10 years ago and has flourished and expanded rapidly ever since. They have also won several awards for their sustainability, growth and welfare and are a key supplier for UK retail.

Roles and Responsibilities as a Multi Skilled Engineer:

• Troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic and mechanical faults – with various machinery including but not limited to production and packaging.
• Continuous improvement projects
• Investigate means of improving plant productivity
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on food manufacturing machinery to ensure limited downtime.
• Work collaboratively within the maintenance team

I am eager to see CVs from individuals who have:

• A relevant qualification such as a City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or BTEC Level 3 (Apprenticeship), in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment, especially in Food or FMCG manufacturing as this would be very beneficial.
• Previously worked as a Multi Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical/Mechanical Engineer, Multi-Skilled Technician etc.
