The Bank Holiday has just gone and its time you start to rethink and plan for your future, if you are a Maintenance Engineer within a Food Manufacturing Industry and are looking for a company who can offer multiple opportunities such as; training, development and progression then this company is for you. You will be lucky enough to be involved with new machinery installation as they have recently invested in new robotics.

The Blue-Chip organisation itself is a multi-site food processor that has had continuous growth over the years, they have recently invested in many new ways of working to improve the site and drive the engineering department forward, another advantage of working with this organisation is that they offer an extensive benefits package. Just to add, this role which is available is purely DAYS!

Roles and Responsibility

  • As a part of the role you will be able to work on some of the most advanced equipment within the industry, after having recently invested multi millions worth into the site.
  • You will be involved with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities
  • As a part of your role you will be responsible for reacting to breakdowns on site and implementing proactive/reactive maintenance of the machinery.
  • Additionally, you will have the chance to be involved in new machinery installations, this will give you that exposure to help further develop yourself.
  • Within this role you will be working on various machinery such as conveyors, check weighers, packaging machinery, metal detectors. So, having experience/knowledge with these machines would be essential.
  • Another key attribute is to be able to plan and to be able to apply forward thinking, to ensure limited downtime.

To Be Successful

  • You will need to hold one of the following qualifications to be considered: City and Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or BTEC (Apprenticeship) in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Industry experience within one of the following areas is essential: Food, Drink or FMCG environment.
  • The job titles that would be considered for this role would be; Shift Engineer, Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Technician, Maintenance Electrician or Mechanical Fitter.
