Looking for a Mechanical Design contract role in the Cumbria area? Strong 3D experience in interpreting design requirements? Available to start work in the next couple of weeks on a long term contract?

Working for a leading global company you will play a key role in the Mechanical Design team in producing high quality drawings ideally using Creo, ProE or Solidworks. You should have a strong mechanical understanding with SubSea equipment and should ideally have experience of designing electrical connectors. Some knowledge of moulding is ideal, and an understanding of manufacturing drawings is key.

Key requirements for the Mechanical Design Engineer role are:
Exceptional 3D design experience ideally using Creo, ProE or Solidworks
Ability to translate project design briefs into manufacturing drawings with an understanding of tolerances
Prior experience of specifying test equipment and fixturing for the assembly test and commission
Have knowledge of designing subsea equipment ideally focusing on Electrical Connectors

This is a contract role due to run for an initial period of 6 months but with potential to extend on a rolling basis. The role is available working on a PAYE or Umbrella basis.
