Laser Operator

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Laser Operator to join a well-established engineering business on a permanent basis, working 4 shifts Monday to Thursday, with an hourly rate upto £18.00 per hour along with regular overtime, ongoing training and development and free parking.

They specialise in providing a range of metal forming processes to meet their client’s needs, with state-of-the-art equipment, due to rapid growth they are looking for an experienced Laser Operator to build and strengthen the team.

Laser Operator Duties:

• Setting and operating CNC Laser Machines
• Batch work and one-off assignments
• Ability to understand technical drawings and apply technical information
• Inspecting and maintaining quality control before and after production
• Assisting in other areas when required

Laser Operator Experience:

• Experience of working in an engineering environment or similar
• Ability to read an interpret engineering drawings
• Operating the CNC in a leading or assisting capacity
• Knowledge of a variety of steel alloy grades
• Experience of driving a Counterbalance Fork Lift would be advantageous
