Junior Controls and Software Developer

We are looking for a Junior Controls and Software Developer to join a well-established automation company with a state-of-the-art design and manufacturing facility in the in the West Yorkshire area.

The Junior Controls and Software Developer would be responsible for being involved on the full project lifecycle and play an important role in developing software integration in conjunction with the build of machinery.

Duties of the Junior Controls and Software Developer includes:

  • Provide effective assistance to the controls and software department.
  • Writing applications that interface to Control systems.
  • Interpreting customer requirement to functional specification.
  • Documenting applications.
  • Writing training material for applications.
  • Performance tuning applications and databases.
  • Use Microsoft Azure DevOps for project/task management.

Competences required of the Junior Controls and Software Developer:

  • Experience of SQL Database Design, Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience programming in c#.
  • .Net Frameworks including Core.
  • Knowledge of other coding-languages (JavaScript, C++, Python).
  • Ability to write clean, easy to understand code.
  • Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision.

Qualifications required for Junior Controls and Software Developer:

  • Academic/Industry qualification(s) in computer programming, computer science, or information technology.
