I am working with an award-winning Food Production Company, looking for a Standalone HR Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

The role is commutable from Bradford, Wakefield, Batley Dewsbury, Huddersfield areas

This is a Fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to join a reputable and well established company, in a single site standalone role.

Within this position you will be responsible for the Generalist functions of employing, training and hiring new employees for the company, supporting managers with employee relations as well as supporting with the recruitment process and training and development for the business.

Role and responsibilities of the HR Manager – Single Site:

  • The first point of contact for the site with regards to ER Issues
  • Advising managers and employees with Employment policies and procedures
  • Advising on complex HR issues, managing discipline and grievance processes
    Coordinating performance reviews and appraisals
  • Absence management, supporting managers with both short- and long-term absences
    Overseeing all recruitment process for the site,
  • Attend monthly multidisciplinary Management Meeting
  • Management of all employment systems and processes to ensure smooth running of the department
  • Support with Recruitment, Training for the site working with Head Office HR Team

What you need to be considered for the Standalone HR Role – Single Site

  • You’ll need a CIPD Level 5 or above (or be qualified by experience)
  • Experience of working within either Food, Drink, FMCG or Manufacturing is essential
  • Experience providing generalist support in a standalone or minimal support environment is essential
  • Vast experience of conducting disciplinaries and grievance meetings and process
  • A confident, hands on approach with a communicative attitude with the ability to keep a cool head under pressure
  • A strong understanding of employment law.
  • Proven experience of in-depth ER Issues, Disciplinaries, Grievances is essential
  • Ability to work on own initiative
