Field Service Engineer

Employing around 200 people across the UK, this impressive manufacturing organisation produce a range of specialist & bespoke equipment for customers throughout the UK.

Because of continued demand of their impressive machinery, this employer is actively searching for a Field Service Engineer to cover their workload in the South Yorkshire region.

This employer’s factory is based in Leeds, however this Field Service Engineer position is purely HOME BASED and will cover the South Yorkshire region (Chesterfield, Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster etc.).

Key Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer will include:

• Carrying out preventative maintenance on specialised machinery across the South Yorkshire region in line with SLA and maintenance schedules (70% preventative work)
• Responding to machine breakdowns in a timely manner with a view of rectifying faults immediately (30% reactive work)
• Record and communicate all work carried out to other internal departments, ensuring that all information is accurate

For the Field Service Engineer position, we are keen to receive CVs from individuals who possess:

• IDEAL NOT ESSENTIAL – Formal qualifications within a Mechanical or Electrical discipline (Apprenticeship, NVQ/City & Guilds/ BTEC, HNC, HND etc.)
• Previous experience maintaining industrial machinery either in a workshop/factory or in the field
• A full UK driving license and the flexibility to occasionally stay away from home

In return, the Field Service Engineer will receive:

• Annual Salary: Up to £35,000.00 per annum
• Fully expensed Volkswagen Caddy (including personal use after probation)
• Frequent overtime available midweek (1.33) and on weekends (1.50 Sat & 2.00)
• Holiday allowance: 31 days including bank holidays – rising to 36 after continued employment
• Daily meal allowances up to £15
• Full training around working with Gas systems over the first 6 months of employment
