Engineering Manager

A brand new and challenging position has become available for a Engineering Manager in Barnsley, South Yorkshire for a well-established manufacturing company. This gives you the opportunity to earn up to £62,000 per annum whilst working Monday to Friday (Days). As well as this great opportunity you also receive 33 days of holiday, up to 8 weeks of company sick pay and overtime payment.

Their site in Barnsley is a 24/7 site which ensures they are delivering to high standards to each of their clients every time. The company offer a variety of training and development plans for each of their employees which in turn results in people progressing internally within the company.

Roles & Responsibilities as an Engineering Manager:

• Developing and driving training within the Team for 13-18 Multi Skilled Engineers and Team Leaders to make sure each induvial is confident with all aspects of their duties.
• Assisting with managing larger projects within the Engineering Department such as identifying machine reliability solutions (e.g. reviewing the efficiency of machines and the backups which need to be put in place)
• Collaborating with the Maintenance Team to ensure cover of Automation, M&E and Engineer Planning as well as communicating with other stakeholders in the business on reliability issues.
• In charge of the CAPEX for the site and overseeing the roll-out of live projects.
• Acting as the main point of contact internally for the final validation of asset preventative maintenance plans.

• Held one of the following or similar positions recently in their career; Engineering Manager, Engineering Project Manager or Maintenance Manager etc.
• Working in one of the following manufacturing industries; Food, Drink, FMCG or Packaging.
• More experience in electrical maintenance and describe themselves as being electrical biased.
• One of the following qualifications: City & Guilds Level 3. NVQ Level 3 or BTEC Level 3 (Apprenticeship) in either Electrical Engineering.
