Leading special purpose machine company with a strong order book who are experiencing a period of growth currently are looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to provide a high level of design output to their client base. The role is focusing on Electrical Hardware design and you should have prior experience in the design of Industrial Automation within a manufacturing environment. You should be able to work independently but have first class communication skills in order to liaise with other members of the design and production team.
You should ideally have used E-Plan software, but any Electrically focused design software is acceptable. The role will work tightly to deadlines and need to have a high level of commercial awareness. An understanding of ISO standards is desirable and you will ideally have come from a culture of Lean and Continuous Improvement. You must have experience of creating electrical design documents including wiring diagrams, part lists and cable schedules. You should ideally be apprentice trained in an electrical focused discipline and be qualified to HNC/HND or BSc Level in a similar discipline.

The role has a high level of autonomy and the company is committed to providing strong training and development to all their staff. Basic salary for the role is negotiable on experience, but is benchmarked at around the £36k level.
