This E&I Engineer will be based at the Rocksavage site. The role will be responsible for managing the maintenance, standards, modifications, projects, improvements and compliance activities related to Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation infrastructure and systems within assigned areas of responsibility. The areas of responsibility will be either High Hazard COMAH or both COMAH and GMP operations.

Responsibilities of the E&I Engineer:

  • Manage the day to day maintenance and troubleshooting works related to Electrical, Instrumentation and Control systems for assigned plants / areas to facilitate safe, reliable and cost effective operations.
  • Maintain, implement and improve SHE and engineering standards in areas under his/her control to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and recognised good practice.
  • Identify, manage and implement modifications and capital projects related to or involving elements of Electrical and Instrumentation work.
  • Technical focal point for Electrical and Instrumentation contracts across his/her areas to ensure efficient and effective delivery of scheduled and breakdown services and value for money for the company.

To be successful in this position as E&I Engineer we are ideally looking for a candidate holding a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an E&I Engineer within a high hazard manufacturing environment (working to DSEAR, ATEX etc.) so ideally the chemicals or petrochemicals sector would be preferrable. The role requires the successful candidate to hold a degree in Electrical / Control / Instrumentation or related and any additional qualifications such as SIS, Functional Safety etc would be a bonus.
