Driver / Materials Handler

Because of continued demand of their services, the LEEDS based branch are now searching for a Driver / Materials Handler to join their team on a temporary basis.

As a Driver / Materials Handler, you will be responsible for:

• Driving a flat-bed van to collect and deliver components, materials and parts to & from local suppliers and customers
• Goods inward; checking that allocated shipments are accurate as per purchase orders and free of visual damage
• Assisting with the kitting of parts & components for use in the assembly process
• Distributing and issuing kits, materials and parts throughout the facility as necessary

For the Driver / Materials Handler position, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess the following:

• A Full and clean UK driving licence
• IDEAL NOT ESSENTIAL: A Valid and in-date counterbalance FLT licence
• Previous experience working in a goods inward or stores environment, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing organisation

Working Hours of the Driver / Materials Handler
37 Hours per week spread across a regular day-shift:

• Monday to Thursday – 07:00 to 15:30
• Friday – 07:00 to 12:30

In return, the Driver / Materials Handler will receive:

• Hourly Rates: PAYE: £14.71 or Umbrella PAYE: £19.47
• Overtime: 150% After 37 hours and Saturdays and 200% on Sundays
• Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days including public holidays (PAYE)
• Access to the onsite canteen (subsidised) and gym
• Free onsite car parking
