Initially established over 200 years ago, this well-known organisation has built an excellent reputation for producing heavy products and components and currently holds the record for producing the world’s largest casting, weighing over 350 tonnes. Due to a number of changes and investment over the last few years, this organisation has solidified their long-term order book and is now recruiting a number of positions in order to keep up with their continued demand.

Specifically, this employer has 5 Development Engineer vacancies for their ever-growing Research & Development department. The successful candidate will be working on a series of activities on R&D funded projects working closely with the technical departments.

This employer is based in SHEFFIELD, just a few miles from the M1. Meaning the successful Development Engineer will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns & cities including Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Dronfield, Chesterfield, Workshop, Huddersfield, Wakefield and Mansfield.

For the Development Engineer position, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess:

  • BEng/MEng qualification or equivalent in Engineering or Science
  • Knowledge of materials/steel
  • Experience in mechanical engineering and design
  • Experience of report writing and presentations
  • Ability to design and carry out industrial and laboratory trials
  • Knowledge of computer simulations
  • Ability to assist in the design of manufacturing processes and the design of related items of plant and equipment

In return, the Development Engineer will receive:

  • Renumeration: £38,000 – £42,000
  • Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days including public holidays
  • Combined Pension Contribution: 10% (up to 5% matched)

  • Free Onsite Car Parking
