An opportunity for several CNC Lathe Machinist to join a specialist steel and manufacturing business. Our client has already engaged in the delivery of a wide range of high-profile projects and on the back of this they have been recently awarded another major contract and thus are looking to add several CNC Lathe Machinist on a Permanent Contract.

DUTIES included for the role of CNC Lathe Machinist :

  • Set up jobs on machine centres.
  • Work with jigs and fixtures.
  • Machine parts to customer specification, record contract documentation.
  • Ensure correct marking up of component parts and use of the labelling system.
  • Ensure parts are flowing to the next process with correct labelling procedures.
  • Ensure that “Route Cards” are being followed and signed off following each operation.
  • Work with Senior Manufacturing Engineer to determine feasibility of machining new products.

KEEN to speak to CNC Lathe Machinist :

  • Experience of Fanuc & Siemens controls.
  • Experience on Machining Centres / Vertical lathes & borers.
  • Use of measuring equipment ( Micrometers, Verniers etc)
  • Understanding of tolerances and work within to drawing requirements.
  • Ability to amend programmes using tool offsets.
  • Knowledge of G & M codes within a programme.

  • Permanent position , Salary up to £34,500 per Annum
