Overview

Our client is a PLC listed, international manufacturer and supplier of products utilized within the UK and International building and construction markets. Working closely with a number of the UKs leading house builders and architects they hold an enviable market position, built upon a reputation of creating and providing innovative solutions to the UK construction market.

Applicants are invited from a wide range of backgrounds, with particular emphasis around, architecture / architectural design knowledge, ideally covering building products, construction products, house building, commercial property design, modular build, landscape design, concrete products, prefab, or façade etc.

The role is to support our client’s customers and provide answers to queries from architects, designers, and contractors relating to building and designing with products and materials which includes;

  • CAD 2D & 3D design drawings for building / construction products, innovative prefabricated products and systems
  • Design and technical support for specialized building and construction products, innovative prefabricated products and systems.
  • Written and verbal advice on construction, workmanship and good site practice.
  • Visits to sites to advise on design and technical aspects.
  • The presentation of a comprehensive list of RIBA approved CPD Seminars.
  • The delivery of internal and external training.
  • Assist in the development of new products and systems through our internal product development process.

Candidate Profile

  • Team player who can demonstrate a willingness to work well with others and collaborates effectively.
  • A creative thinker, not afraid to suggest or implement new ideas to keep our clients design advisory service leading the industry.
  • Excellent reputation with a proven track record.
  • Technical and design knowledge ideally from an architectural technology background.
  • Degree educated ideally in architecture/architectural technology/construction but not essential.
  • Understanding and knowledge of AutoCad / Autodesk products, ideally including Revit.
  • Practical approach with strong communication and influencing skills; a confident and effective communicator and presenter.
